Moving into 2018

Believe it or not, in 2015 the Shantymen completed their 25th  year of performing. That was 2 years ago now and it seems a lifetime away.  Its been interesting time with never a dull moment but I think we would all like to thank the great British public and especially the people in our home county of Norfolk for their amazing support over the years.

We made a new CD in early 2016 which featured our favorite and perhaps most popular songs. The Shantymen made a list of their twenty four favourite songs and choose the most popular ones for the CD.  We invited and received some comments from the public and we made the recording at St Peter’s Church Sheringham at the end of April.

This year we had a lot of fun helping the RNLI celebrate their 150th anniversary. The photo attached shows us singing with primary school choir which we all enjoyed immensely. In fact it went so well that we have agreed that we will record the song ‘Sailing’ with the choir – they added the touch of vibrancy which only the young can do.

Take care and we hope to see you at some of our gigs in 2018 and we look forward to hearing from you.

Keep safe.
